And in the "it's all a matter of timing" department, someone just walked in with 3 dozen donuts. Unfortuantely, I just bought a "snug" silver satin sheath-style dress for next weekend. I can't risk gaining aingle ounce. Sigh.
But we're only going to see your right ear and your shoulder.
Go for it!
Exactly how much is an "aingle ounce?"

LOL! I really need to pause before hitting 'post message'. It's funny, though, so I'm keeping it.
SOMMS - I've got great earrings this year.
Where's the Rainbow Pony?
For the heck of it I went into the KC Gift Shop and they now are selling the poster for "Follies" I pretended to buy the pillow and tote bag and it went into my cart. Perhaps they got a new shipment?

good morning!
Great reviews, DD! You must be so proud - I know we are!
Graduation Day here. There IS a light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately, hubby is sick - flu-like symptoms. He is under orders to 1) be recovered by Friday and 2) don't give it to me.
HE - internet still down at you place?

Yes, Moony. I bought a new Airport over the weekend but I just don't have the energy to wrestle w/the hookup.
(I don't even have the energy to change that last comment.)
I think I'm going to swim now.
I hope Mr. Moony gets better soon.
Morning peeps! We'll see how long I can make it here at work today. Thank God I am feeling a tad better this morning.
Congrats DD!!!
Moony, as you told me...stay away from him. You don't want to get it too. It sucks being sick especially with 90 degrees heading our way!
Morning all. I hope all sick parties feel better soon!!
I need advice - I have found out that yesterday Chris's mother's husband died. We all know that I have not exactly had a peaceful three years with those people, but there have been no incidents in the past year or so. Now, while I didn't exactly like this gentleman most of the time, I knew him for 7 years and lived with them at some point. Do I reach out to send my condolences and/or go to the services? Or do I stay the hermit I have been? I get very conflicted over what I think I still need to do out of obligation.
My mother taught us to always be the better person. Do what your heart feels is the right thing. As a friend my suggestion is to send a condolence card via snail mail. Do you really want to see these people? It may open a can of worms that you took a long time to seal up. Only you can decide what is best for you, but remember in the past how they hurt you. You can forgive, but never forget.

Tink - the best move you can make is to reach out with a sympathy card. There's no need to attend a wake or services, but a card acknowleges their loss (nad makes you look really good).
^^^^^^
What they said - and, if there is a charity you and Chris' family both support, perhaps a small donation. Do what will give you peace when you look back 5 years from now.
Morning Adults.
And Congrats DD.
Good morning, kids. Two plumbers and one electrician later, stuff is fixed and I'm at work in time for a retirement luncheon.
Slippin' there SOMMSY? I remember when you would've done 2 plumbers,an electrician, showered, had breakfast and been having a manicure by now.

Tink - maybe a "walk by" at the wake - 5 minutes? Good luck and I feel for you!
Scrubbed the deck and my back and arms are killing me!
Crappy Monday!
Hey brd! I see they will be doing a production of "Follies" on Navy Pier in the fall. I may have to get tickets for that one. Yea, I'm a Follieatic!
Heyo.
Sifting through the 700 e-mails that came in while I was on "vacation" last week. Sometimes, I wonder if it's even worth it. Actually, this last one wasn't.

Girly, I just had that conversation with a colleague. It seems the more you are off, the more work you come back to.
