I worked throughout most of the weekend - second semester started today. Saw "The Great Debaters" on Saturday night - great film!

And with this post, we have 99 to go before the new thread is created. Who's turn is it?
Hey Moony and Girly!
Not too bad. We took the girls to their first and probably last circus on Saturday. Sunday, I caught up on some reading and cleaning. That's me and my glamorous life.
Boo work weekends! I finally got around to seeing Premonition this weekend. Freaky movie.
I want to hear how Shamey's circus adventures went.

Seriously, cuz, if you do that 90 more times, you'll be banished from #20.
moony lays the smackdown!
My weekend was pretty uneventful, but that never is exactly a bad thing.
Mornin'!
Well, Girly, what do you say to a 4-year-old when she asks you why the men are being mean to the tigers? Add to that the protesters outside handing out pamphlets about elephant abuse and it makes for a guilt-ridden experience.
They really should take the animals out of the act. It's just depressing. They are clearly not look happy to be there.
And they make the tent smell.
Ooh. That does make for a bad time. That's a shame.
Somms hasn't started one yet! It's his turn!

I hear that the Big Apple Cicus is a nice antidote to animal-using/abusing circuses. I hate circuses - animal or no - so I couldn't tell you that from personal knowledge.
I don't know how.
You do know I really LIKE to be smacked, don't you cuz?
Haha! Hey D2! In this case it was the arena that they made smell and only when the elephants paraded by looking totally miserable. Even the horses looked pissed off.

A belated Christmas gift, SOMMS. But really - I do think you should start the next one. Just watch the language when giving it a name. We don't need a thread to get deleted on the first post. The FOURTH post, maybe, but not the first.
The non-animal parts of the show were pretty good, but they can't touch Cirque du Soleil.
Oh, and there was a small part with dogs doing all kinds of cool tricks and flips and they actually looked like they were having fun, but it still made me wonder how they got them to do that stuff.
I'm not a big fan of circuses either. (So why am I on BWW?) And I love elephants - it always makes me sad because they really do look miserable.
Dogs, and Moony will do anything for a treat.
I have a terrible fear of clowns so circuses are ruled out for me.
If by circus, you mean men in tights ... I LOVE THEM.
*cancels Tink's clown singing telegram*
I was just picturing poor Tink opening the door to a singing clown.
