"The paddle's been put away for the night."
Damn.
Hi, brd - hope all is well.

All are well! C14 is a work out at times. She is not interested in focusing on school this quarter, and we hope to send her to a school that would not tolerate a slip on grades. C12 is doing well, getting a little taller and always funny and chipper. C9 is very driven and will worry if he gets one B on a test! Everyone is healthy.
I am finishing the most productive year of my career. It is making me realize that I might need to make a change as to the structure of the firm!
wow, sounds like things are good though, and that's great!

Go, brd!
And you might want to borrow the paddle for C14.
Benign Dictator sounds like a good title.

Yes, a pretty good time! (Other than the dog peeing in the kitchen because of the snow. Mrs. Brd coniders it a personal assault! Oh, and the Bears suck, but we have had the greatest times at the games!)
Hi, DG!
Good night my dears!
Nighty night, Tink.

I just want to share this with the adults:
"ENOUGH
Recently, I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure.
Standing near the security gate, they hugged, and the mother said, "I love you, and I wish you enough."
The daughter replied, "Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom."
They kissed, and the daughter left. The mother walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there, I could see she wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on her privacy, but she welcomed me in by asking, "Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?"
"Yes, I have," I replied. "Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?"
"I am old, and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead, and the reality is - her next trip back will be for my funeral," she said.
"When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I wish you enough.' May I ask what that means?"
She began to smile. "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone." She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and she smiled even more. "When we said, 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them."
Then, turning toward me, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.
"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude
bright no matter how gray the day may appear.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.
I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye."
Then, she began to cry, and walked away.
They say, it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but an entire life to forget them."
Lovely, DG. I always love that when I see it.
Had fantastic auditions. I hope everyone we chose accepts (this is for our Winter show ... I'm acting as producer.) It's going to be a fun show.
which show are you doing as your winter show, DD?
Morning...zzzz...
Good morning all! Stay warm and safe!
Yummy. Thanks SOMMSY!
Morning loves! Less then 24 hours and counting!!!! :)
What is in 24 hours? And why wasn't I invited?
We see YF and my NYC weekend begins. I've told you this? did you stop keep a calendar of all my daily events?

It's 19 degrees outside and yesteday's snow and slush has turned to ice. How can I be sick of winter already on December 6? Tonight's the first of our Dance and Music Concert nights and we're not quite there yet. Cancelling rehearsal yesterday was problematic to say the least. This will be interesting...
And with that, Happy St. Nicholas Day to those who celebrate!
*the cows skate cocoa in for all*
mmmmm.... THAT'S what got me to work today! That delicious coffee cake and Harris' cocoa. It's perfect!
Moony - that ice was absolutely trecherous this morning. It's so dark out when I leave that I can't really see ahead of me. I went up to the bus stop without too much trouble by walking on the snow. I finally had to hit the pavement when crossing the street and that's when I hit the black ice. I really went flying! I just told my boss that I'm leaving a couple of hours early this afternoon. There's no way I'm going to go back over that ice in the dark again.
PS - brd, if you're listening - don't come down too heavily on C14. They really can't help it. It's puberty. Those &$*^#! hormones destroy brain cells. It's a medical fact.
Good morning, Peeps! How are we all on this fine Thursday?
SHAMEY
lets go see enchanted and then go to universal to see the grinch island
Can we stop for breakfast first? I'm starving.
