Personally, if I had to choose between a weekend of Mardi Gras or a weekend with Stagey, I'd choose Stagey.

Seriously? No WAY. I'd take Mardi Gras. I'd just wear a poncho to protect myself from people throwing up on me and bring my own bourbon.

I did Mardi Gras during my first year of law school. One of my best friends went to Grad School in Tulane. It was a blast.

You can't?

I had a blast. Got a lot of beads, and stayed for about 3 days. She lived just a couple of blocks from the main parade route. Lots of drinking, lots of fun, and a few parties.

It was also over 20 years ago, so I have mellowed a bit with age.

My mom has a friend who has an apartment on Toulouse right between Bourbon and Royal. We always stay there. It's the perfect location. I like to go in the months when it's not AS crazy. I only went to one Mardi Gras. It's just too much for me.

Show wasn't too bad. The first act could use some trimming here and there. Got a backstage tour from one of the producers. That's always fun. Had some difficulty getting news articles of the past year or so out of my mind while watching the show. Kind of surprised me.

David Cassidy on Oprah right now. :::sigh::: Funny, since Boobs mentioned the PF Lunchbox (which I still have btw).

Oh, Jeez - David Cassidy will forever be one of my ideals. It's a teenage thing.

Our good friend did many of the orchestrations for this TALE OF TWO CITIES thing - I'll be curious to see how it does.

And I've always viewed Shira as a 'mellow non-shopper' myself, so I don't understand any dissenting opinion.
