OH! Yes, me. The signing he's doing is at 6:00. I'd have to leave work early in order to get there. I've been doing that alot lately. Have to tone it down a bit, if I want to stay employed.

Girly, I went into the city for an open call. Three hour door to door roundtrip to sing my sixteen bars.

I need to have my head examined.

Oh, and don't think I didn't go back and catch up on this thread, Shamey and Boobs. I'll deal with Boobs in person tomorrow.

I'm eating Reduced Fat Cheez-Its. They need frosting.

How'd it go? This is how it went:

Hour and a half commute. I get there toward the end of the time, and no one is there - they've all already been seen, which is what I was hoping. So, I go in, sing my 16 bars (that's like 45 seconds worth of song) and I get, "Thanks, Toni. Lovely voice." That's IT. Okay, it's freakin CAMELOT - really, what more do you NEED besides a "lovely voice"?? So I leave, puzzled.

Hour and a half commute home. And, that's my day.

Seriously. Head. Examined.

The original posting (which was from a couple of weeks ago so it could have changed) said "be ready to stay and move." Although there wasn't anyone waiting for that, so who knows?

Yeah, so since they made it clear that we needed to be prepared to stay and move, I dragged my audition bag full of dance clothes and shoes!

I have no idea if I will ever hear back, never mind when. This is show biz, not real life. And I ALMOST didn't go today, because I woke up an hour later than usual and felt all crappy and groggy, but then I thought of what would happen if I told a certain elderly Aussie that I didn't go to an open call because I was tired.

No one likes to have their ass kicked, even by an old broad millions of miles away...

No more auditions this week. What's your week look like, Moony?

Just got done with our annual Performing Arts Awards Show. I'm exhausted and I didn'r even perform. The end of the year is filled with awards ceremonies and such. I can't wait for summer so I can catch my breath.
