The mezz for me personally was fine, but we were to the side and just had like the three seats with partial obstruction, lol. My height was just a disadvantage.

RC, and I have been looking forward to it all season! I'll be catching "Passing Strange" on Friday. Dave is in CA for 2 weeks and I am coming in on Friday (staying at the Algonquin) If anybody is going to be around, maybe we could meet up? On Sunday we are seeing "Take Me Along" at the Irish Rep (I just LOVE this little known show)

I know that show too. It's delightful. A Eugene O'Neill musical. Well, a musical based on a Eugene O'Neill play.

It's a charming version, Moony. Very gentle, very entertaining when cast well. Supposedly the overture to the show is Sondheim's favorite.

I'll have to give it a listen. Hard to believe that any overture could top Candide's. Wasn't Jackie Gleason in the original production?

Yes, and he won a Tony for it. And William Bendix was his replacement. It ran a little over a year.

It doesn't top CANDIDE's overture. Not by a long shot. But it is a nice overture. It's a nice show.

The OBC included Jackie Gleason (who won the Tony) Walter Pidgeon, Eileen Herlie, & Robert Morse.

She's also a dancer in the film version of L'IL ABNER, and you can see her quite clearly in several of the numbers.
