Yep, I never, ever, had a birthday party on my birthday, or presents that weren't wrapped in Christmas paper or lumped in with Santa gifts. My brothers and sister do only get one cake though, so my mother was equally cruel.

HA! We do four cakes. My mom's insane. Deet can attest.
Thanks Cheffy!
My Birthday and all of Addy's Ex's all fall on the same day
Actually, DGG, I thought your mom was rather cool.
Poor SOMMS. How he suffers.
I hated that I didn't get to have a party in school and get to bring in cupcakes or something for the class! I did like never having to go to school on my birthday, though.

Deet, cool and insane can sometimes mean the same thing. She's cool alright, but she also just had a HUGE party for me with about 40 people. Insane.
That sounds like a typical BWW party.
How was it, btw?

FYI for poddie...this how we'll be spending our Saturday in Bangkok....
Chatuchak Market (Weekend market)
Covering 70 rai (35 acres) of land with over 15,000 stalls and more than 200,000 visitors every Saturday and Sunday, Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok is the mother of all markets - and possibly one of the biggest and most famous markets in the world. If bargain-hunting gives you an adrenalin rush, get ready for a head-spinning, earth-moving experience. Conquering this massive market is no easy feat though. The reward for taking a lot of patience along - together with a bottle of water - is that you can find pretty much anything here.

Fun! I had a bunch of family, and way more kids than we expected. Everybody ate a lot of food, and played games and stuff. It was a nice day.
And all of my school books are now covered!
Perfect Boobsie! I can buy gifts for all of those hard to please birthday folks.

Cheap stuff? Count me in!
My friend, who does business there, told me that the real price of anything is 90% off what they first quote you.
I hear they sell animals there too..perhaps Girly would like a monkey for her Birthday?
Shi-shi...it's there every weekend, so when you're out this way we'll go. Although most people do it once and won't go back..lol
I want to see him get that on the plane! How about a Koala?!

I'm always afraid to haggle.
DGG..I never did it, but really the Thai people want you to..like they really enjoy it. I think they just like the interaction with people.
I'm raised to haggle.

That's really cool! I'd love to travel someday and try it.
SOMMS - I assure you I'm working on it!
Shira...is that what you call it?
