Linnie - No, it just never worked out time-wise. BUT, I was there the very first time they did a joint performance. They played together for 20 minutes at the first Farm-Aid concert in central Illinois, and Darryl Hall (the 'blue-eyed soul' singer of Hall & Oates) sang with them.
It was raining, I was surrounded by literally thousands of mid-westerners, and I was in HEAVEN

My dad saw it, but he always refers to it as back to back by mistake.
