Thanks Miss P.
The 4th is actually at my mom's. It is a bit insane - somewhere between 150-200 folks, with a firework show right across the street.
It is our family's "Holiday." Everything else pales in comparison.
DG - uhhh, that sounds fun...

Shira, I know.
*smack* I ruined mine too!
DG, I don't know what to say except good luck.

It's going to be an event at the amphetheater that his old Shakespeare company performs at (which Shira has been to, and I actually really like.)
My approach is that it's something that people probably should hear again - or maybe for the first time.
Plus, there's free food, and then we're going to Disneyland for the fireworks

I spent all day and night at Disneyland on Monday of this week. It was mesmerizing.
Turns out L-Sir loves roller coasters! (And Barbies.)

Tink - your boy lost today in the second round
I just hope he didn't hurt his shoulder.

We'll be back in NYC for two separate weekends in July, Gracie.
Right now we're in San Francisco. We're seeing friends tonight and tomorrow. We have a sensational view of the city from our hotel room, too.
But we're going to make SoCal a regular vacation spot because we now have lots of "family" there. We'll be there again in April.

Shira, duking it out in the shoe department at Bloomingdale's will never happen. I wear mens' shoes exclusively.
We're planning to go to Disneyland on the 7th. I can't wait!

Disneyland is so special because--as bizarre as this sounds--it just seems so real. I guess because I grew up seeing all those TV docs about it.
It really is "the happiest place on earth." Everyone is in such a good mood there. It's sweet.
And the food is REALLY good!

Poor, DGG, it's a real shame that you don't know anyone in Florida that could take you to Disney World.

You should start saving for the air or bus fare. I recommend airfare.
