And yet you succeed without even trying.
an awful lot of the charm of the show is gone now
Really? Granted, the one time I saw it on B'way I was sick as a dog, but I thought the tour was quite impressive. Everyone I know who saw the tour loved it.
Addy thought of the day...
Think pink! think pink! when you shop for summer clothes.
Think pink! think pink! if you want that quel-que chose.
Red is dead, blue is through,
Green's obscene, brown's taboo.
And there is not the slightest excuse for plum or puce
—or chartreuse.
Think pink! forget that Dior says black and rust.
Think pink! who cares if the new look has no bust.
Now, I wouldn't presume to tell a woman
what a woman oughtta think,
But tell her if she's gotta think: think pink—!

Cool!
Well DD, you know where I thought all the charm was. I've read two reviews (and a couple of individual comments on other threads) that said there was absolutely zero chemistry between the actors playing Muriel and Andre and they were actually dragging the show down. They said it would be no loss if they just cut them out altogether.
Well, actually, that was one of my observations, is that Greg's absence is very noted. It's a small part, but he made it so memorable. The same way I wonder how the tour will do without Norbert.
Though I must confess - as much as I liked Greg and Joanna, I never got the point of Muriel/Andre.
Tempts DD with some
How are all the adults this beautiful summer evening? My day today has been catching up on all the things I did not do yesterday. Yesterday was fun visiting with Miss Pennywise and family in Michigan. It was a very nice day and wonderful visit.
Tomorrow I have to go to the dentist as I discovered that my tooth basically cracked today. The dentist is putting on a new crown tomorrow. I hate going to the dentist! Then I am going to babysit for the new granddaughter and her sisters for a while. My daughter has already started doing her student teaching. She's a very busy mom.
Are those patacones, cookie? (double fried green plantains) If they are, it's too funny. I was just chatting with a friend who recently arrived from Costa Rica, and we were talking about them. I am going to ask mom for her recipe.

Hi, Addict. Sorry about your tooth and dentist trip - but at least you have grandchild time afterwards to take all that misery away!
We're about to head out for SCOUNDRELS - and it should be a beautiful drive during sunset, which is always nice!
Hi DG - Have a great time at Scoundrels. Let us know how you liked it. I'm heading off to my bedroom and watching a little TV. Not quite the same as Scoundrels and sunsets but I'm looking forward to it! lol
Baddy, I had the same pecan-chicken thing for dinner tonight that we had last night at the restaurant. It was even better tonight. (The waitress was so pleasant!)
It was great to see you. Thank you so much for coming all that way to visit us!

We had a nice pork tenderloin on the grill and rice and vegs!
DD: Everytime I try to make tostones, I always end up making patacones instead... I can't get it just right!
Leaves the adults with these under the breakfast baked goods dome for tomorrow morning:

I'll wait 'til the morning. Leave me one, will ya, people!
Cookie, I'm not sure I know the difference between tostones and patacones.
Good Morning everyone! Broadwayboobs said this was a wonderful place for food and friends.
Boobs, it was so nice to meet you and Bdwaygirl and the others on Monday! Thanks for introducing me to Daniel. I wouldn't have approached him otherwise. Oh, and I forgot to compliment you on your terrific orange sneakers.
Have a good day everyone. I'd like to come a visiting again soon, after I finish some work.
*hugs Harpo* It was wonderful meeting you too sweetie. I'm so glad we got to enjoy a Daniel Day together and hope it's the first of many. Now pull up a bean bag chair and have a cup of coffee with me while we wait to see what SOMMS has made us for breakfast. The other adults should start getting here soon.
