Story time: My mom always hated mustard, especially dijon. Major ick! She'd frown her face at the smell of it. We could not get her to try it. She came to visit me in Seattle, and I grilled steaks and made roasted potatoes on the grill... with a mustard/garlic/rosemary dressing. Granted, I did not tell her what was in the dressing. At dinner, all she did was compliment the roasted potatoes. How good they were. After her 3rd serving, I told her the main ingredient was dijon mustard.

That happened to me. My sister made a chicken with a light mustard sauce... I wondered why she kept suppressing a smile when I was eating it.

I've never minded mustard as an ingredient... as long as it doesn't TASTE like mustard.

It IS, admittedly, a good cooking spice.

I marinate the chicken in lemon juice, mustard, rosemary... then grill it. YUM!

And... because he donated it to the Auction it will raise money for a worthwhile charity.

But, I do hope the dress is bought by an institution which will preserve it for the public. I'd hate to think of it ending up in someone's closet.
