Hello everyone...a new thread and we have 130 posts already. What a chatty group we are. Yea for the Adults.

We had the day off for "Pioneer Day". It's a State Holiday in Utah. That means Church Headquarters and Field Support is shut down--so the rest of the offices have the day as a holiday.

I'm doing some pre-mom/pre-niece's wedding cleaning today--moping, laundry--all the fun stuff to do on a day off.

And I'm in the mood for sweet & sour shrimp and crab rangoon.

Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

Mom arrives next Monday for two weeks...(I assume you all can e-mail me doses of Valium...)

The wedding is August 5th in Rochester about 90 minutes east on the I-90. Wedding is in a park and the reception is in the rec hall of a nearby Church. Pray for good weather, please! My sister is already sounding like a poster child for stress and she's not that involved in the planning. The couple and the groom's family have done the bulk of it because Rochester is his hometown. My sister's family is military and has moved around so much that my niece (currently stationed, herself, in Ohio) doesn't have a Hometown.

Oh what fun it will be. "Fun." My family is not noted for having Hallmark/Brady Bunch gatherings.

Keep you eyes on the crawl at CNN that night. :o)

Italian Dinner! You read my mind. I am fixing Porcini mushroom tortellini in summer tomatoes wine and Oregano. Did you peek in my fridge by any chance?

I was supposed to have been out of town, but the plans were changed... so I have nothin' to eat.

It is too hot to eat - but still, I am sure I will find a way.

Right now, iced tea with lemon - I think I have a lowfat TJ's Chinese Chicken Salad in the fridge.

I am actually surprised that our power grid has not totally exploded.
