Happy Saturday everyone! I've rejoined weight watchers so today starts the healthy breakfasts. Carbs are now going to have to be nothing but a sweet memory....

I had to have cortisone injections in my knees yesterday and unfortunately the pain-killing effect hasn't quite started yet. So today I get to hobble over to the Kennedy Center and watch the NYC Ballet perform "A Midsummer Night's Dream". It feels like I'm moving from the ridiculous to the sublime! It'll just prove the truth in Kleban's words, that "everything is beautiful at the ballet".

Had a generally acceptable time in Palm Springs, and now getting things together to leave tomorrow for San Francisco.

Cheeze - I just talked to our friends, and they said that weather is supposed to hold through MAYBE Tuesday - I hope that's the way it turns out!

Oh no, I got that...I was just trying to remember when you were coming to NYC. I thought it was May, but I wasn't sure. Is TinMan coming too? Caldwell just adored spending time with him last year, you know.

Do you have dates? We will be there for one weekend. I hope it overlaps!

That's what I'm doing, Roxy - it was a joke. Obviously it's not a part of my reality.

And if you want to use the condescending, it might help if you spell it correctly - or is that your 'common touch'.

At least I didn't use 'man-servant' - cause that's MY job

I have got to take the "kids" to the vet this morning for shots.

Oy.

I probably have not heard such wailing and yelping since I tried to fit into a size 8 (and now, a size 10) jean!
