Hello all. You're all sounding frisky(?) today. I had the joy of physical therapy at 7 am and then limped my way into work. It snowed solid the whole time but nothing stuck. This afternoon I stepped out for lunch and the sun was shining and.... it was still snowing. The weather just gets stranger and stranger.
Well, I blew off most of the morning so I probably should try to work a little this afternoon. Hope you're all having a great day.
Hi Mamie!
No worries. It was just a little foreplay!
Hi Shamey.
Important question for you - how's the Florida fruit holding up? (I'm referring to the fruit on the trees). I'm quite concerned about the citrus crops out on the left coast and I just can't survive long without my fresh lemons!
Well, Mamie, I'm far from a fruit expert.
But, as far as I know, everything is fine. We haven't had any frost and I haven't heard of any drought, so your lemons should be perfect.

Hi, Mamie - quite honestly, you won't run out of California fruit - but I WOULD expect prices to rise. We've been hit with more frost than usual, and some of the crops have suffered greatly.
The pictures we've seen look horrible. They show fruit on the trees, completely encased in ice.
In Florida? Maybe in North Florida?
I don't think we've had more than one or two days in the 50's this winter. It's been hot.
Edit: Looks like you may have seen California's crops.

Oops! Sorry DG, missed your post.
"...but I WOULD expect prices to rise."
Mother and I heard that on the radio, Brooks.
Yes - I was talking about the pictures from California.
Yeah, sorry, I didn't see DG sneak in there and I thought you were responding to me.

And, the fruit experts? :-P

Shamey - you should SEEK OUT the fruit experts!
And if this board has experts on ANYTHING it's fruit!
I do, DG, I really do!
*the cows bring in fruit salad for all*
I've got to admit that cow does look quite fruity.
A fruity cow? Oh my!
Who knew that one had to run down the battery on the laptop regularly. I am actually doing it backwards by having it plugged in most of the time.
I forgot that you were supposed to do that. I guess I ought to let mine run down and then recharge them too.
I would also like to have a job where my title was "Genius."

I'm driving our poor children insane! Our two lovely Shelties - who are herd dogs, for those who aren't familiar - have dutifully followed me up and down the stairs as I've gone from the downstairs den to the upstairs office and back.
At this point, they seriously are looking at me like, "What the F*CK are you doing?!? It's the middle of the night, for God's sake! Settle somewhere and let us get some sleep!"
I think I'll give it a try . . .
Good morning peeps !!! Be very quiet, DG is trying to sleep...Sssshhhhh. *whispers* Coffee is on and their are cranberry/orange scones baking....running back to w*rk...everyone have a good day. *kisses DG's forehead as I tip-toe out*
