Hi Harris. I just got home from work. It's a crummy, rainy, night and the traffic is horrible. I'm so glad I'm finally home! It's going to be hot soup (chicken, of course) and then maybe a bubble bath...

Happy Saturday all !!! Yes I've been up since 6 a.m which is an hour and 1/2 more sleep than I'm used to. Enjoying a cup of coffee and doing laundry....lots to do today.

Mamie...I thought that AV is very appropriate for now.

It was the same here. Yesterday they said the rain would continue this morning and clear up later today. Well it was raining when I got up but it's stopped now and the sky is very light. Looks like it may have moved out faster than predicted.

I just remembered I had a ticket for the International Horse Show tonight. If the weather stays clear I just may go. (If it doesn't I'll stay home. I like horses - just not that much.)

I was driving half asleep to the Dunkin' Donuts and a cop was flashing his lights so I pulled over to let him by and he stopped for me. Told me that I didn't come to a full stop at a STOP sign and gave me a ticket.

I'm sure that I stopped (98%) and then I realized that its October 28th and they have their quotas to meet. Sucks.

Dang! That sucks, wexy.

The only ticket I got, I was the last car in a row of like 7 cars. We were all going 65 in a 55. Not that it's an excuse, but I was pretty much going with the flow of traffic. Well... a cop coming from the other direction pulled a U-turn and stopped the last car. ME.

Hello adults - it's been awhile since I've actually posted but I still love the "board". You know the saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder". I'm not sure they are talking about message boards but it works for me!

Wexy - the last ticket I got was for not stopping all the way. I tried to argue the point but they said they had it on video. I hate paying those tickets.

My daughter got the great news today that she passed the Michigan Bar. We are all very happy because that means she can get a job and make some money! We like to joke that she is our retirement fund because of all the money we have had to invest in her now will hopefully come back to us when we are ready to retire.

I'm also happy because I am beginning to plan my next trip to New York which will be over President's weekend in February. Going to go see The Apple Tree and am not sure what else.

Tonight is going to be just relaxing and finishing my book The Lincoln Lawyer. Tomorrow we are going into Detroit to cheer on two of my daughters who are running the Detroit half-marathon. Hope everyone if having a good weekend!

Addict, I glad you're proud of you daughter. It makes me sad that I'm making my parent's pull their hair out by majoring in Vocal Performance.

Soapguy - I would have been proud if any of my children had majored in vocal perforance and I'm sure your parents are also. My daughters actually do sing and almost did the musical theater thing but it takes more than talent to make that kind of career happen. Being a lawyer is actually like putting on a performance especially in the courtroom! Good luck to you with you vocal performance major! Hope to go see you on broadway some day.

Mamie - Thanks and yes it is about time my children contributed to keeping me in the style that I deserve! Ha Ha I can't wait until she can pay for my next trip to New York. Speaking of trip to New York, why don't you come for President's weekend?
