So, I had to give two references for this job last week, and one that I used was my friend Bonnie, who I haven't talked to in months and months but I know she's cool with anything and would talk me up. I know her because she choreographed the Tyne Daly GYPSY and also the 1987 CABARET, both of which I worked on. We've stayed great friends.

She called last night to ask if I got the job, and in the course of the conversation mentioned that she choreographed the LuPone GYPSY this summer!!!

Moony - every time I glance at your avatar I think I'm seeing ballerinas in pink tutus. I always have to look again to make sure they're really flowers. They're really lovely!

Just ran into the big boss in the hallway. She is not a gushing person, but told me how much I'm going to be missed, and how I'll do great wherever I go, as I've done so great here.

This is all so satisfying because I was told the job was something completely different than it was by my temp agency, and when I got here I had to be trained on software that was completely foreign to me. The fact that everyone thinks I've done such a good job on it feels wonderful.

See, you CAN teach an old dog.
