Ooooh - a fabulous and witty woman is still around!
I wish I could have run over to play a bit on your day off - but this turned into a day for me to actually get stuff done.
Exciting stuff like COSTCO, my mother-in-law's medical needs, laundry, and making sure our fur-girl had food
Well, I ended up working in the garage, talking a nice stroll to pick up a baby gift card for a certain someone, and then working to get the new Treo 800 on the discounted phone plan I just ordered.
Other than that, trying to explain to my mom that the offer to see Mama Mia with her on Friday was to see Mama Mia, and not something else she recommends. (I swear, she said "if that doesn't work, there is this other movie ..."). I said, No, we went to your horrible movie for Mother's Day, I am seeing Mama Mia, whether you join me or not!
And planning to take my cousin and her kids to the works Knotts Berry Farm day.

I don't know why, YWIW, but that just really made me laugh! Maybe I'm so tired of trying to communicate with MY mother, that I enjoy hearing that others have the same problem
I haven't spent much time at Knott's, but have enjoyed what little I've experienced. What I really like is the restaurant there that specializes in 'comfort food' - and I get REALLY comfortable when I go!
Well, work has an annual outing, and this year is to Knotts. I can get two adults and two kids, plus parking and lunch, for free. So, my cousin, who does not have much $, is happy to go. I told my mom if she wants to come, she can by a ticket at the discount.
My mom is wonderful and very frustrating. Going to a freaking movie becomes the equivalent of planning a major offensive in a war. She now says that it is her poker night, and can we do dinner rather than lunch, because ....
And, I have not been to Knotts in years - I usually give my tickets away to these things, but now that my cousin has adopted these two kids, I think it will be fun.
I said "its a frigging movie - join me if you want."
She makes everything so unnecessarily difficult.

So, would this explain the sister who has to repack everything to go to the pool?
I wish I could go with you
I wish you could as well.
September 6th baby, if you want to walk around with a couple of kids, you are more than welcome to join us!
And with that, I am off to bed.
Have a better tomorrow DG.

Sort of, Hep - I'm actually just about to call it a night.
Hope you're well and staying warm.
Thanks, DG. Sweet dreams to you and your fluffy friend.
The first time I went to Knotts, I was a little tot. Back then, ya know, in the olden days, I don't think it was much more than a glorified fruit stand (I could be wrong). All I remember is riding a pony and racing in a little car with my bro. Oh and the red cowgirl boots I HAD to have.
Went back about 9-10 years ago, and it was not the Knotts of my memories. Had a GREAT time, though.

Good morning!
Another busy day here. My boss leaves for the beach tomorrow and I'm off on Friday, so everything that needs to be done this week needs to be done TODAY.
Mornin!
Okay, first, Shira is drinking Guiness and now she is going to spend 13 hours on a BUS.

It's the heat. Messed up her hair and her brain.
It was all the FGs being so far away for a week.
Mornin'.
J2 started cooking last night. It's going to be some party.
I was just talking to a someone I sat near when I worked in the old job. I asked her how things were going and she replied, "same same". I think she might still be wondering what I found so funny.

Haha. Maybe she lurks, Girly.

Have you started covering the furniture yet? :-P

As long as there's a working stove and tartar sauce, no worries.

Ha ha, Moony - but no - J2 likes you, so he wouldn't serve anything that might endanger your health.
But one of the menu items, just to tantalize, is a Smoked Salmon Quesadilla.

Screw the play. We're spending the night eating at Deet's.
