We have very close friends that are in the process of moving to Midland, Michigan. We alternate hosting holidays with them, so I'll be spending Christmas and New Years in Michigan.

Pip - that hasn't changed Actually, I'm told that this particular area only averages 36 inches of snow per winter, so I'm hoping we don't get buried.

Midland is on the east side of the state and the prevailing winds are from the west...across Lake Michigan, so there probably is a little less snow over there. Cold is cold, though!

Addy, I'd love to one of these days. I have all of my vacation pretty well planned out this year but maybe next year!

Morning kids!

I was just talking to my cousin to figure out when I'm getting these concert tickets to the girls for tomorrow. Then I told her if Paul flakes out and says he doesn't feel like having to go back to pick them up, so they can't go, to make sure the girls call me. I'll pick them up afterwards. Then she tells me that he flaked out last night. "What adult's going with them? Who is this band? You're not going." So the older one tells him that he knows this band. Their the ones 'saving themselves for marriage'. His response? "Oh, okay. You can go then."

Hello adults from a sweltering Pacific NW. We actually have smog warnings for the next couple of days, which puts a damper on outdoor activities near the city. No biking until Sunday.

Pip! It's too hot for the steam room ... but the sandbox sounds like fun.
