Well, at Miss P's urging I got tickets to see the Drowsy tour while it is in LA.

I bought a passport to the CTG, and it gives me 50% off of ticket prices. So, instead of paying 70 each for two tickets, it is only 70 for the pair.

Not too bad...

The touring production of DROWSY is pretty cute, I thought. Not my favorite show, though.

I just went with my friend to get her MacBook for college, and it made my stomach hurt to watch her hand over $1,200.00 in cash like that. I've never even held that much money, let alone spent it. Geez.

The boyfriend called me as soon as he landed today. Thanks to me, he's gone over his texting limit by 150 texts. I guess I should slip him some cash when he isn't looking. I feel kind of bad...

And DGG - I remember when I bought my first car - I was a sophmore in college, and I had $2,900 cash from working two jobs over the summer - it seemed like a fortune.

DGG - I know how that is. Scary! I've done it by credit card before (I bought my Mom's MacBook PRO for her on her CC because well, I'm the one who knew what she wanted)....it was intense.

But, DGG, as Shira and I can both tell you, it gets easier to drop large sums of cash in the blink of an eye. I remember one heady day back in the '80s when I spent over $1,000 at Saks. Before lunch.

And then, when you write that first check for your first down payment on your first co-op, condo or house. Ooohhh, there's nothing like it.
