Dress code for Saturday night: FORMAL.
Just kidding. Even though all the A/Cs will be full-blast, dress comfortably. Cool. Skimpy even.

We're all getting together tomorrow to mourn Rath's departure from BWW, Harris.
So everyone, wear black.

Wear whatever you want, Miss P. I would suggest Dressy Casual. Jeans and nice top, or slacks/skirt and a nice top. Whatever you will be most comfortable in.
Hey D2 - you've already seen me dressed for formal!
Even though I do still have to other dress i bought for that occasion I have yet to wear.

Posted: 7/18/08 at 10:37amMiss P - it is going to be stinkin' hot here this weekend, so I would suggest the lightest possible summery type outfit. Not knowing your wardrobe, that's the best I can suggest. If you had a light, thin-strapped, sleeveless dress. With your coloring, white or pink would be smashing.

I'll likely be in a flowy knee length skirt and a nice top. Low cut, of course. The girls need to breathe in this kind of weather.
However, this can also work.

How people survived in outfits like those I'll never, ever understand.
And without the benefit of deodorant!

I second that, D2. It's completely insane.
ETA: Speaking of deodorant, there needs to be a campaign in New York to get people to WEAR it, especially in the summer on crowded subways.

I KNOW I can wear whatever I want. I always do. But I have to put whatever that is in a suitcase RIGHT NO...and then I'm stuck with it. (The disadvantage to not having your entire wardrobe available to you in a hotel.)
I was just hoping for some guidance or inspiration. "Stinkin' hot" was about as good a phrase as any to help me make a definitive decision. Thank you, D2.
Now, Shira, I expect to see you wearing that "thing" with the bustle. (Don't worry, honey, the umbrella will help you stay cool.) Perhaps some of the costumes from SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE are available for the asking.

Okay, would anyone like to join me at the Cooper-Hewitt and then a movie? I love museums but I don't wanna be alone!

The big problem is...I have dozens of cool, summery dresses, but they are too big for me now.
Oh well. It'll work out. Better start tying that bustle on tonight, Shira. It takes a long time to get it "just right"!

Gee, rough problem, Miss P! (And Mazel Tov, at the same time).
Yeah, I have the bustle. But I've decided I have enough tushy without the help.
