Absolutely - she was very gregarious and we had a fun convo - she thinks the script is atrocious and was thrilled to hear we thought she was funny. "You don't know how hard Kathy and I have to work to get those jokes across."

That's so true. They really COULD be two very 'nothing' parts, but in the right hands, they can be played up to perfection. I haven't seen it done better than it was on Saturday night.

The '94 revival actually combined the two parts into one, and the character just faded into the background. It just didn't work.
