I'm so happy my boyfriend shares my dislike for Valentine's Day. No pressure!
somms - does the gaz need a graphic designer? choreographer?

Does he need a daughter? I'm doting, cute. All I require are good meals on occasion!

I am not cute that is for sure.
We saw Xanadu, pretty stupid, but enjoyable. I assume the show had more skating in NYC, the stage is pretty small at Drury Lane WT. A nice 90 minutes away from reality.
The mail failed us today, so no letter for C13. I felt very bad for her, all of her friends received their letters, and Monday is a holiday!!!! So, we assume it will arrive on Tuesday.
Glad you enjoyed Xanadu. Stupid, fun, and intelligently so.
I hate when we desire our daily mail to an almost obsessive state. I go through it.
I didn't think it was stupid. Silly, yes. Stupid, no.

Next year I am going to have a Valentine. (Waves fist in the air for dramatic effect).
Happy VD everyone one.

It didn't even occur to me that it was Valentine's Day until the TinMan gave me a lovely card this morning - in which he quoted Walt Whitman.
I've had other things on my mind.
Honestly, while I don't really get the 'anti' VD thing - it's a celebration of love - I also don't see the need to set aside one day for something we do every day.
I was echoing brd - it's automatic! But the premise is, well, odd.
One of my closest and oldest friends and I went to the Met, browsed, and had a pleasant day of conversation and fun. Definitely a good day!
Happy Post Valentines Day, everybody.

Too early for bubbly! It is a sunny, clear day here! The kids are off tomorrow, so today is like a Saturday!
D2 - how was dinne? No romance here, we had other kids and I spent most of the evening transporting teens to and from a mall, etc. The kids also did NOT get their mother a card and she was quite cranky!
Happy Sunday!

Well, boo for those kids, Brd! And boo for the US Postal Service! (we KNOW it will be good news, though)
Brd - I am flying into Midway this week - hope your weather is going to be clear. The last time I fly into Midway there was ice and snow and I'm a nervous flyer to begin with!

Dinner was fab, Brd.
And Moony, thanks! You seem to have the answer to beating the post office at it's own game.
Morning!
I go see my dear Adam and his plaid pants today, **squeal**
Enjoy Tink! I'll want details!!
I don't have a problem with Valentine's Day. I remember my folks would get my brother and me a little gift, too. When I was a tyke, it was usually a little toy or stuffed animal. Then they progressed to giving me 45's or albums that he knew I wanted. At least Valentine's Day has been around for a long time, unlike some of these other so called Hallmark holidays that keep popping up every year. Sure, it's gotten a lot more commercialized, but that's the nature of the beast. People can celebrate it or not.

I set my alarm clock dyslexically and was an hour late. ARGH!
I'm an aquarius - I don't like being told what to do or how to feel. Thus I dislike any holiday that tells me I must feel a certain way - i.e. you must feel romantic on this particular day (Valentine's Day) or you must have fun on this evening (New Year's Eve.)
However, it's now "jS' Birthday Eve." Like he said, Jesus gets a Christmas Eve, he should too.
Tink, I am seeing Adam in three weeks, I am looking forwarding to is. It is Minsky's tonight.
I may go see Pippin at the Taper. I am not a huge fan of the show, but I have heard good things about the deaf-west productions.
And Shira, I kicked Zander out at about three, and then got to go back to sleep for about 5 more hours. He was just clinging to my window ledge a few moments ago. It was a pretty funny sight (except for his claws grasping the wood frame in an effort not to fall the five feet).
Happy Sunday. It is a nice morning here, but the storms are coming back tonight and tomorrow.
I'm so employing that in the future, DD!
YWIW - I can only imagine, he's a funny cat.
Your Zander stories make me want to get a cat, You.
It's gorgeous here today - gotta get out for a bit. Prolly taking jS out for breakfast.
DD - I'm the same way. I want a kitty to play with and love me.
Have a great day, give jS a hug for me. I'll be at work for another...5 hours.
I just want one to entertain me.
Matinee later today ... with our weather today I can't expect a lot of walk-ins.
Make that 6 more hours of work. I forgot I'm on 'til 7.
You'll be just fine, DD! I have faith.
Good luck on the show, and give JS a big hug from me.
Zander is certainly entertaining - you either want to kill him or hug him.
These past few weeks, Zorra seems to be coming out of her shell a bit more, so perhaps you will even get to see in her in person some day Shira.
(and if by Magic, Zander comes upstairs as I am typing, that cat has a weird sixth sense). He just attacked a package of apples from Costco.
I almost gave this bed away, because for the first couple of months, neither of them would use it. I am glad I didn't!
