It's all good, even if I'm not getting paid for two of those days. I also have vacation time (
) and move-in day.

Well, we're here. One of the longest flights EVER - seriously, it was nearly 7 hours. Strong headwinds, bad weather and a frighteningly turbulent landing.
But we're here at the hotel, and I'm going to take a nap.
Later!

So close ... and yet so far.
I'm actually also getting an iPhone as soon as my verizon plan is up in June (will probably wait to iPhone 3.0) My sister just got one, so the people I talk to the most are all on AT&T. (I had verizon because they all had verizon, and now they all have iPhones.)
Shira - I just saw that you threatened to punch me. Not very nice.

I had the pleasure of seeing Dottie and WAT last night for a bite to eat, before they went to a show, but I didn't realize it was WAT's birthday... Had I known there would have been candles and singing! Next time I see him...
How are you, Q?
I had such a wonderful weekend. Family. Friends. Special treats. It was really heartwarming.

We're . . . ok.
My brother was visiting a couple of weeks ago, and got a call that he had been laid off. SO, he went home, packed up his stuff, and is now staying with us while he looks for a job and a place to live.
MEANWHILE, the TinMan's mother is on her final downward spiral - off of meds, off of food, on oxygen, unable to focus, but with a heart that won't stop
Not a pleasant time.
BUT, we should be seeing D2 and the doctor on his visit here (and YWIW,) so that should brighten our day!

Oh gosh, Q. I'm sorry about the troubles.
I hope your brother is able to find work soon, and am glad he has you to turn to during this time.
I'm sorry to hear about the TinMan's mother, but hope she is comfortable. It's not a pleasant time on any level, but please know I am thinking of you. Give the TinMan my best!
Enjoy seeing D2 and the doctor. And YWIW. I am envious! I need to plan a trip... I am SO overdue. Have a wonderful time!

Or, I should get my overwork behind to NY. I keep waiting to piggy-back on a work trip, but it has not worked out for the past couple of years.
And ditto to the TinMan's mom. This time is so hard on everyone.

D2 and I are kind of holding hands through this whole experience - which just sucks, by the way!
And, can I just say that I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE that it is WAY past due for an Addy Left Coast visit?!?!?

YWIW - it would be wonderful if you could plan a visit to NY!
We have this wonderful place called Broadway...
(It would be fun to see a show together!)
Q - it's good to have someone to navigate this journey with. Shared experiences like that are such a special bond. And it's so comforting to know there is someone who can hold your hand along the way.
I agree. A left coast visit is due!

I'm thinking that would be enough to induce a DD migration south . . .
*sigh*
I love holding hands

I am actually trying to plan a trip to Ohio this spring to visit a friend, but it has been a few years since I made it back to NY, and even longer since I saw a show there.
BTW - Zander is one again possessed by the devil.
Q - in some ways, I was lucky that my dad passed very quickly, it was only a week between his seizure and his passing - it was enough time for everyone to get to see him to say goodbye. Both of my grandmother's lingered, and it was devastating watching and waiting.

"I just wanted to be sure . . ."
YWIW - I agree. Completely.

Posted: 2/16/09 at 9:00pmAddy - did you know that I love Pooh. You just brought a huge smile to my face thinking of Q and you having a stroll (though I have no idea what you look like, the image is just warm and fuzzy in my head).

YWIW - You're in good company with the Pooh love!
I love that you love Pooh, also. That just brought a huge smile to my face!
I turn to Pooh frequently. Such special feelings!
