You mean you still have some left? I'm simply amazed.
Oh, good! At least she won't have the actual evidence the next time she wants to tell a room full of strangers (to me) about my drunkeness.

It won't stop her - that's become legendary! She'll just lack the 'show and tell'.

Happy Friday! No wedding planning here today! I must get some work completed.
MP, sorry about your son! It is scarey when kids are sick. We have not had any significant illness for years. *knocks on wood*
I'll keep the bottle! hey, I was in mourning, so had to abuse other people for my own enjoyment! :)
I don't drink at home really, so liquor lasts a while there. I'll probably finally kill a bunch of it off tonight, but then have all the new stuff others bring to add to the collection.

Brd: it's Friday - no telling what kind of mayhem will break out. But the wedding does seem to be off. For now.

I hope that is chocolate fondue in the pot.

Hep! Happy Friday night to you! How are you doing? How's the clean-up, etc going after the fires?
Moony, there are still some fires burning. There are towns, such as Marysville, that have virtually disappeared. There are more than 208 confirmed dead and 7000 homeless. Several areas are too dangerous to enter, with falling burned-out trees and branches. So, the clean-up will take some time.
Hey Hep! It seems like we haven't crossed paths in forever!

How horrible. I imagine you can still smell the acrid air.
Yep. The smoke was still hanging over the city as late as yesterday. A wind changed has cleared it a bit.

Hi GH! Cubs individual tickets go on sale today! We have a connection to get tickets outside the usual chain, but I still will go on-line and see if I win the cyber lottery for tickets.

Morning.
From the sublime to the ridiculous. After my last post yesterday, we got a call from the home that the TinMan's mom was beginning the final journey. So, we dropped everything and went over - and since 1:30 yesterday have been sitting in rotating pairs with his brother with her as she goes through the final stages. After HOURS of one-minute cycling of apnea and spasms, she is finally down now to stacatto shallow breaths. I really hope it's almost over.
Please keep my lovely husband in your thoughts.
Now I have to feed our little girl, make sure I get my brother up and going to San Diego (his current focus of job/apartment search,) and get back over to continue the death watch.
*sigh*
These facilities should be required by law to maintain open and fully-stocked bars.
*hugs and kisses to all*

Gentle hugs for Tinman and Q. When my father-in-law's breathing declined to that point on Saturday he slipped peacefully away less than an hour later.
Hugs for you and the TinMan.
It is hard, but at least you are there for her and you have each other to rely on and lean on.
I hope the day is peaceful for all of you.
Who wants to buy Q a flask?
I figured you'd want a leather flask.
My thoughts are with you and TinMan, Q. I hope the release is swift and peaceful for you all.
What is your pleasure? Bourbon? Straight vodka?
I was thinking of something along these lines:
I knew I should have googled "Penguin Flask".
Also, Q - Head to Trader Joe's. They have gummy penguins. Thought of you.
I take it they are for formal occasions.
