NO SCHOOL TODAY! That's a rarity.
Mornin'
Good lord. It gonna take me a hour to get to work
Good mornin, All!
My house can get messy and dusty from time to time, but never dirty. My mother would kill me.
And, Tink forgot to mention that she came to Florida to get molested by drunk Californians. But she got two nice paper plates out of the deal. :-P
Wife-shamey. Come drive us to work
It's a very tempting offer, Hubby, but I'm sitting here enjoying my coffee, and the outside temp is a pleasant 50 degrees at the moment.
Shut it, Shamey. We have at least a foot of snow and it's still coming down. The kid is home from school so I can't go to work and his lazy father (I'll give him this, he only got home from the airport at 3 am) is upstairs asleep. His mother had a meeting in the city so she went. It took her an hour to get her car out. All the tire tracks she left 30 minutes ago are already covered back up. Good times.
Harris, why don't you hire a cowffeur to drive you around, and let Shamey enjoy her coffee and her lovely, lovely weather?
Hey JG! Good to see you! I feel for ya, I really do, that is until I remember that you chose to become a Jersey girl.
Hi Deet! We were thinking about you a lot on Saturday. *hugs*
I'm going to hurt the man snowplowing outside my window soon. Noisy!
My main concern today is getting into the city to see Cheyenne.
Morning!!

An honest-to-goodness snow day! At 4:45am the county school system declared that schools would be closed today but all administrative offices would open two hours late. We normally follow the county, but I took one look out the window and said "Screw this." I promptly put out voicemails and emails declaring that OUR administrative office are CLOSED today. Honestly, what is to be gained by a two hour commute when the snow plows are trying to do their job?
Oh, and good morning!
Atta girl, Moony!
I love you, Moony!
And Shamey, you have no idea how much I wished I was on the other side of Florida on Saturday!
Okay, while school is closed, my office is not, so off I trudge.
Oh, and Shira: noisy plows? Get used to it, darlin'. Comes with the territory.

Crappy Monday!
We had about an inch of snow. Very cold for the beginning of March. We were so busy this weekend and all of the kis were cranky! C10 was like an old man, muttering under his breath.
Mooney, enjoy your day! My wife and I were laughing thsi morning that DC was to have a few inches and the whole city would shut down.
D2 - Um, yeah, I'm not getting used to it. Hence the substantive discussion.

Downtown DC has 6 - 8 inches, not just 'a few'. In a semi-southern town, that's problematic for travel. We don't invest in all the snow equipment that Chicago has because we don't get a lot of accumulation. For what it's worth, DC public schools went in 2 hours late. Here in MD we have 8 - 12 inches, which is why we're closed. Sidwell Friends School pulls most of their student body from the Maryland 'burbs, so they decided to ignore that whiney dad from Chicago and close, too. That whiney dad has an easy commute from the second floor residence all the way to the West Wing.

Maybe I'll head to DC this week. Or anywhere.

Well, I'll be there in a few weeks. I'm just waiting for California to wake up so I can plan said upcoming life. And by California, I mean the doctor's office.

Good idea Moony. Someone has to keep me in line! Can you imagine the havoc that would ensue when I'm doped on morphine?!

Empathetically?
Or emphatically?
