Continuing the 'D2 and Q/DG were separated at birth' hypothesis, whenever I see anyone with an appliance stuck to their head, I immediately say, "Resistance is futile."
Naturally, I have one and use one. I believe with me, "Resistance is futile" is often muttered.
I'm glad I know where that quote comes from!
Aw, Harris, you really are sweet.
The cows brought the hugs, not Harris!
Jealous, Shira?
A little bit. I need another quart or milk.

D2 - but we have some disagreement as to who is DeVito
Shira - I don't admit this often, but I actually AM a Star Trek fan. Well, more precisely, a Roddenberry fan. I LOVE his approach to what can move us forward as a society. The product itself has been hit or miss for me - and honestly, I can't claim to be 'well-versed'.
That being said, the creation of the 'Borg' species as a comment on where we might be headed is one of the greatest things I've encountered. And the Star Trek movie that focussed on that - complete with an AWESOME performance from Alice Krige as the Borg Queen (complete with one of the best movie entrances ever created) - is actually really good stuff.
And as an aside, my 'current' appelation on the board - 'Q' - is taken directly from the Trek lore. An absolutely FABULOUS character on The Next Generation, played to perfection by John DeLancie.
*pssst, Shira, the cows are fictional. you're jealous of fictional cows. which may or may not produce fictional milk. did you think of that?*
Wow, Q. That's...intense!
D2 - *Shhh, I'm humoring Harris.*
The cows bring hugs for shira
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww
And D2. U need a good laugh did I tell u what my new years resloution is
I'm slightly afraid, but go ahead, Harris. Tell me.
That was for Q's benefit.
When the first borg was found/captured alive by the TNG crew, they did not kill him, but nurtured him back to health, and gave him a name. Members of the Borg collective were not given names, and were not allowed to have an individual identity. They found that although this Borg was part of the collective, he had not been completely assimilated, and they named him Hugh (You) and uncovered a spark of individuality which eventually weakened the strength of the Borg collective over the series. Part of the plot was that generally, Borg only speak in the plural, and have no individual identity, but by the end of the episode, Hugh was using "I" rather than "we".
It is basically a morality play on the value of individual thought over group think, and was greatly reminiscent to me of the themes in Anthem.
We are Hugh

YWIW - I just love that you knew that!

It is nice that I can still surprise every once in a while.
BTW - every time I see the Bing Bang theory, I know think of you.

It's the Big Bang - but I am now forever going to think of it as Bing Bang - I love it
And it's not THAT much of a surprise - you geek-hunting vixen, you
Typos' Schmypos.
I type good after day long work. I am actually working on the most difficult contract negotiations of my life, and the vendor may just negotiate itself out of a huge contract - another 5 hour call today arguing about issues that should not be in dispute or disagreement.

"Freaking attorneys."
I agree, most of them are freaks.
But not you, of course - which is one of the few things that gives me hope
The cows bring treats for zorra and xander
Oh, I can freak with the best of them - I just turn it off for friends and while watching good theater.
And Zander and Zorra snuggle with Harris.
