Deet, one of my friends who lived IN Philly felt trapped in his apartment and was so bored that he decided to pile on the snow clothes and trudge miles to get to the office. He was the only person there, of course. (Or anywhere NEAR there!) We all told him he was insane (and he still kinda is--in a good way, of course ), but because he was so dedicated, the boss gave him an extra day off of his own choosing.
Yeah.
I'm not that dedicated.
And I can always take a day off of my own choosing. It's called a sick day.
Hey, you know what? The BOSS didn't even come in that day, and never missed a performance!
Performances are a different matter. I've never missed a performance in my life. My understudies hated me. People I understudied hated me too...
Girly, I checked back and still don't see anything for me. What am I missing?
Well, my boss's "performances" were often theatrical but that's another story. Believe me, in the office, when he missed a day, his "understudies" were THRILLED...even if we didn't have to "go on" for him. His absence was reward in itself.

Ohhh - I have a snow story (believe it or not). I was working on a project in Boston, and I was living there about 1/2 time. I left on my flight and AA did not bother to tell us that Logan was closed, and we were diverted to Newark. I ended up playing den mother to a whole bunch of kids from Amherst who took the train from Newark to Mass, and ended up calming down various parents about what was going on.
I arrived in the Copely Plaza exist of the MTA and found myself in about 2 feet of snow and was able to get the few blocks from the station to the Westin, and then the next morning, got myself to Quincy. I was one of the few people who actually made it into the offices that day.
Interview went well this afternoon. I might just get a job!

Hep - where are the pics?!?
Quick 'fly-by hi' to everyone. I'm off in the morning to Vegas to help a friend get ready for her studio opening on Friday (I hate Vegas, so this really IS an act of love!) Then I get back to have my brother show up for a visit - but we love him, so that's a good thing.

Mornin'
I'll take the oatmeal, thanks Dtwo.
Yeah, that must my breakfast of choice these days too, Boobs. As was illustrated quite vividly last night.
J2 and I went to my aunt's wake last night (again, not the one y'all met in December) - my cousin L, her daughter, sees me and comes bustling up. Does she say "hello, thanks for coming, lovely to see you" or any other normal greeting? Nope. First words out of her mouth, ringing through the room: "Oh my God, "Deetie," you've really packed on the pounds!"
Out of the corner of my eye I saw J2 literally reel and go white, but I contained myself. I merely said "I love you too, L," hugged her and quickly found some other cousins to chat with, while J2 heaved a big sigh of relief.
OMG Dtwo...I hope you have a contract out on this cousin now
BTW..sorry to hear about your Aunt. Glad not the one that I met...she was so sweet and full of life...hope she's doing well.
Good morning kids!
I hope you headed right for the refreshment table Deetie!
Aren't relatives delightful?
This is the first day of our new building hours, so I can't get in here until 7:30. I'm very disconbobulated! I'm going to pout all morning.
