I was just getting caught up with the posts from last night and today.

Hep - you should offer that woman a couple of nice, fresh pies for the holidays. If you ask Harris, I'm sure he'll be happy to provide them. Cow pies are always....... appreciated?

DD - It was a little weird to read about your toaster conking out on you. My toaster oven did exactly the same thing at the same time. I'd been thinking about replacing it for a long time with a standard pop-up toaster and 5 minutes after it died, one of the kids called and asked what I would like for Christmas. This was the first time I was able to tell them something. (At least something they could afford!)

I mentioned this to my mom and she said that she still has my grandmother's toaster. Gran passed in 1972 and her toaster still works like new. Once upon a time they built things to last. Sadly not anymore.
