They're theater tickets from Stub Hub. That place is so expensive, I wish he would have waited until regularly priced tix were available, but he's a great guy. I still don't know the date, so THAT will be the surprise.

Now THAT would be a surprise! I don't know how many tickets he ordered. I think they were very, very expensive, so it could be just one (although they both wanted to go last summer).
