I'm having difficulty focussing on things today. I keep thinking about the election, and wondering where we're headed next.

And I really don't have the energy to deal with the houseguest showing up this afternoon - but show-up she will, whether I'm ready or not!

It's going to be very interesting to watch the election returns, DG. I'm spending the evening with a couple of friends, and I hope that we'll be celebrating.

Put some pretty flowers out for your houseguest. I always make sure to have flowers in my guest room. (Which makes up for the fact that I haven't really decorated...)

Actually, Addy, we just agreed NOT to put flowers in there (which is our usual thing) because this woman is like a bull in a china closet! She's actually pretty tiny - but she honestly is like a tornado. I'll be walking around for the next few days with a dust-buster in one hand and a cleaning rag in the other.

I'm going to wait to read the results tomorrow. I just can't stomach an evening of ups and downs - and i get aggravated when they try and call elections before the polls are closed everywhere!

oh, that's funny, DG!

I love having fresh flowers around. Though, once I knocked over a fresh vase when I was carrying too many packages. It took me ages to get the water out of all the things stored in the hall chest, upon which the flowers were placed.

Actually, it's kind of a business trip for her. She makes her own jewelry, and I'm going to take her around to some of the higher end gallery and retail centers to try and get her work in there (she's already in a few in Colorado.) Then I'm handing her off to another friend over in Palm Springs who is going to do the same thing there (while I recuperate )
