Know what's better between the boys?

Butter.

Who are we kidding? We could have a whole series of tapes and we wouldn't have worry about any of our boys ever seeing them.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

re: Can the Adults Please Smoke? - Tantalizing Ten

I just realised that even after the very public lessons learned on here, some people STILL think that 2 + 2 = 5. It doesn't! I will say right here and now that I am the world's WORST mathematician. I still cannot remember my times tables and I occasionally have to count using my fingers. But I do know that 2 + 2 = 4.

Okay, just to clear this up. A few weeks ago I had brunch with some friends from BWW. Rath arrived wearing a beautiful green coat. The weather turned SO beautiful that she decided not to wear it on our afternoon walk around the city. In an attempt at chivalry, I offered to carry it for her and she was happy to let me. A few weeks ago, I invested in a new sweater which just happened to be the same colour as Rath's jacket. When I told her, she changed her avatar pic to a green coat and as a joke TO HER, I changed mine to the pic you see now.

This rather insignificant and infantile gesture has caused some people to work on their math. It appears that all kinds of multiplication and division has been going on to arrive at the reasons for the avatars. In all honesty, I never imagined in my wildest dreams that an item of clothing could cause so much controversy. So that's why I decided to set the record straight. In doing so, I'm kind of breaking one of my own rules. I have never gotten into any of the public arguments and bickerings on here. Even when these have included friends of mine, I have backed-off as I believe to enter into them (albeit to jump to the defense of someone I care about) adds more weight to the argument. I also believe that people can pretty much take care of themselves and don't need a posse leaping to support them.

Also, I have never found the need to take private matters to the public forum. I've seen things become very undignified and it can be very hurtful. If ever I've felt strongly enough about something someone has said or done, I say it TO them, privately. NOT on a Message Board.

So, having said that, I would like to state here and now that anything I've posted on this thread or any other has been in good spirit, in jest, light-heartedly and NEVER with the intention of offending or upsetting anyone. If I've ever done that, I apologise wholeheartedly. If anyone has read anything more into what I've posted, then you have too much time on your hands. If you'd only asked ME what I meant, as others have done, I could have given the answer to the sum straight away. I would have done so happily and would have cleared it up. As you can see, it's not a secret.

What I find particularly upsetting is that you haven't even had the good grace to keep your thoughts to yourself. It has become clear to me today that you have taken your sums to someone I care very much about. I will not go into details as it's unimportant; you know who you are. What your motives are for doing so, I can only guess at. What's particularly sickening is that you have had no regard for the person you are telling and how it might make them feel. I couldn't care less what you think of me. But for how this may have made them feel, shame on you. And you stink at math.
