Rath.....the cops are probably all down there because Naomi Campbell had to show up at the sanitation dept. for her community service today..although unlike Boy George, hers will be done inside (which she asked the judge)...so not to be on the street...isn't that part of the sentence tho...humiliation for what she did wrong?

Technically, Boy George started outside on the streets initially. Because of all the media and fans, he got moved inside the sanitation yard or some other fenced in place. Don't quite remember. He could still be seen, but an 8 foot fence kept everyone else at bay.

Rath, I'm serious...I mean I don't know if that's why all the cops are really there....just that I know she was showing up today by 8:30 a.m. Girly..she asked the judge not to be seen by the media or the public...and he allowed it.

Rath - I don't know where in NYC you are but I heard that there is a big anti-war protest planned for today, and that the cops were out because of that. They are supposed to march to the NYSE and protest corporations making money off of the war.

I knew listening to 1010wins would pay off eventually!

I got caught in an NYC riot in time square last night, but had no clue why, just tried to make my way through it. Found out this morning it was over a stupid HS championship game at MSG, that spilled over into the streets. People were going nutzo!

I know. It was at 42nd & Broadway. Out of no where, people were just running and shoving and just mass hysteria. Cops swarmed in and were yelling at everyone to go one direction, but when we did that, the other cops were yelling at us to go back the other way, and so on. Very frustrating. All these tourists were crying and running (kind of amusing in a sadistic way). One person was actually saying "run for your lives". A bunch of people started fighting. We finally just crossed broadway in the middle of the street, but so did the rest of the mob, and they started doing in on the next block again. Luckily we must have missed the reported gun shots, or we were just oblivious.
