To make it worse I got a new back pack for christmas and my mom goes, "It has an Ipod pocket with a slot to run the headphones through....what's an Ipod?"

I know that makes me sound like I'm 16 and bitching but I just expected her to say, "and your Ipod is inside!"

Bway -- I am a bigger fan of the Dell DJ -- will that do -- 20 gigs and a battery that lasts for over 12 hours...

Back when I was working a job and actually making an excess of money (This would be the Spring, right before you all met me!), I bought a 15 gig dell dj. LOVED IT.
Went to see a movie at the Loew's at Lincoln Center and had it with me in my bag, of course.
Left my bag for maybe 5 or 10 minutes in the theatre. Went back for it, someone had kindly turned in my bag...after looting it for the DJ.
Since then, I've been too broke to really drop more than $200 on something like that.

So, yeah, it'll do. I only say Ipod because, much like kleenex, the brand has become synonymous with mp3 player, which is more annoying to write.

At this point its a decision between replacing my PS2 or getting an IPOD or DJ.

I really can't see doing either right now til I'm a little more financially secure, wish they sold used ones somewhere.

Carl, you can try Ebay but I haven't had much luck finding the combination of price and decent quality used.
