Boobs knows that I stand behind him! (And, off I go in the new year)
Morning Boobs, Addy Pip, DG, Joey and Guido
good morning all...it's a dreary nasty day today. looks icky outside. *blech*
Hi Kansas!
And, SOMMS (off you go...)
And, Guido!
This is a very picturesque place to be today...the New Years avatars are quite dreamy...
ah it's always pleasant in here...but it's the outside world that has me down.
Morning all!! Is there still coffee?
Mom, what does your signature mean?
I haven't made any coffee yet, perhaps I better get with it eh?

Mom - how wonderful to bump into you this morning! I do hope your holidays were peaceful, and that you've entered the New Year with promise and hope
Also, we picked up Ray Charles' last recording (all duets) - for anyone who liked him, it really is a beautiful cap to his glorious career.
DG, it's a wonderful recording. I listened to it quite a bit over the holidays.
Good morning Mom--hugs and coffee coming your way. D, I've been listening to the CD constantly since receiving it last week. I love the duet with James Taylor!
i've heard good things about it, but haven't been to pick it up yet.

It's a wonderful display of how Mr. Charles could fit himself into many different categories - and somehow make them all his own. In addition to some obviously natural pairings (B.B. King and Natalie Cole come to mind) there are some that stretch him as an artist - and to do that right up until the very last is probably his greatest legacy.
I have yet to see the movie. I need to make time for it in the coming weeks.
So glad you asked addy! The name of this little ditty is "Oer yw'r gwr sy'n methu caru" Which translates loosely to Soon the hoar old year will leave us. Which in English we sing Deck the Halls.
My signiture I am still having some trouble translating into English but it speaks of the coldness of Snowdonia (a remote part of Wales) but we will gather together to to bid the old year farewell.
Hello DG the holidays were fun Lizzie was the star of the show. Hope you had a grand time.
what's this? another welsh person I see?
Thanks, mom! and I love the picture you're using as your avatar...
Mom, I'm sure Lizzie was appropriately spoiled and that Santa was VERY good to her!
I still can't believe Pip tried to hook me up with mom's daughter. *hides face in shame*
Guido, maybe in a few years...
Snowdonia? For real, Mom? It sounds more like a place name in a Dr. Seuss book: "Snowdonia, where the Snowdonians live!"
Everyone--if you haven't already, go to the thread congratulating Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman on their 25th (!) anniversary.
In a few years, it's been long enough already hon.
PJ - it does! I love it...
and, I've already been to the anniversary thread with a pink drink raised in their honor! 25 years is impressive. I feel like a youngster with 15...
In my defense, Guido, I DID start back-pedaling when I found out you were 25... I thought you were maybe 18 or something...but I didn't know you too well... Don't worry, they say for every Jack there's a Jill...so there's the right girl out there for Guido, too!!
hehe..it was good-hearted of you to even try. so hold it against you, i shall not.
Absolutely!
I have made it my resolution to play matchmaker this year... I want all my friends to be as happy as I am!
