My father taught high school and he often showed me the essays some of his seniors submitted. Very scary.

We have a friend who has to evaluate doctoral submissions - it would make you cry - and sometimes gasp.

beacon, I have saved some of my favorite horrors from the years during which I taught Junior High Social Studies. The years I taught 4th and 5th grade weren't as painful.
