"Slides and flooding shut down traffic on scores of major highways and local roads throughout the Southland, including U.S. 101 at La Conchita and Pacific Coast Highway near Dana Point.
Other major routes blocked included Mulholland Drive, Coldwater Canyon Drive and Beverly Glen Boulevard." - LA Times

And for an eyewitness account, it's clouding up again out here in the hinterlands - this does NOT make me happy!
Beverly Glen TOO? Oy! My teachers had to bring their son due to his elementary school (Wonderland) being closed for the day. This has officially gone beyond insane...
DG: Here's to praying. And simply out of curiosity, what did you see Saturday?
Goodbye folks, it's been swell. You know how to reach me.

Cute - we saw School for Scandal at the Forum - directed by and starring Brian Bedford. With one rather glaring casting miscue, it was delightful.
Dgrant;
Ignore me one more time and you wil be a hussy in exhile
How was your drive on Saturday?
I think I'm going to see that with my class on Friday actually. How funny! :) Glad to hear it's good.

Sorry, DAME - your post got caught at the bottom of the page! The drive was actually OK - I think by that point people had figured out this was serious and were driving rather intelligently. Of course there were a couple of idiots, but overall, it really went pretty smoothly. We only saw one accident the whole day.
Good. I had to drive to Culver city on Sunday. It took me forever. lots of accidents on the 405.

I don't know what it is about the 405 - we travel almost every major highway in the Southland, and that is my least favorite.
Well there is alot of constuction goin gon it. And it is the highway to the airport so it is always congested. i hate it.
sigh...

DAME - do you know anything about the production of Angels in America at the NoHo Arts Center? We're seeing it at the end of March, and I hope they have it going on.
No I don't. I tend to stay away from the plays over there. Just burned too many times.

We saw Dorian, which didn't exactly thrill us - but they tried really hard. Robert's never seen Perestroika live, and I'd like him to before we see the HBO version.
Would you have alink or info as t who is behind the production?

I really am excited to see it. The only curiosity I have is how that very heightened language is going to come across in the intimacy of film.
I have now seen the HBO version twice. loved ot both times. Albeit; the second time was during 420. A whole different experience.
