Oh good.. I hate tacky ties.. I worked for a guy once that had a love of tacky ties.. it got to the point that I threatened to take the scissors to them..

Well LA, If I drive in about 6 hours.. if I fly it depends on the flight time..

Thanks, Cookie! I'm still at that "stupped up dose" and dry cough stage, but the drugs are keeping me functional, anyway. Haven't quite brought myself to try the Neti pot idea, but if this doesn't break loose soon I'll try the salt water thing and try not to drown...can the adults please smoke?

Drugs usually don't make me functional at all, Pip... As long as you don't have to operate any heavy machinery, though... However, K will be over the moon to have gained another Neti pot convert...

Well, Iris, I am bundled up against the cold and having some nice hot chicken w/rice soup to help me keep warm.

My best friend, who grew up here, but moved away a long time ago, and now lives in Costa Mesa is spending the month here. She hasn't experienced a NJ winter since she moved away some odd 20 something years ago. Needless to say, she's a bit shell-shocked the last couple of days. It's actually quite amusing to watch, after all the times of talking to her on the phone and her telling me it's cold there and when I ask her what the temp is, she announces that it's 50 degrees. I have a feeling, after this time spent here, she'll rethink her definition of cold.

Pip I am sorry you are still not feeling well, I might have to got o an ear, nose throat specialist cause my ears still won't pop from the plane last week!

Thanks, bdwaygirl and LA...I'll be ok. I usually get over these things pretty fast. Your ear problem doesn't sound good, LA... Do you usually have trouble when you fly or do you think it's just related to this cold?

Pip when I was little I use to have to have drops in my ears to be able to fly but now usually I am ok, but I think it had to do with the fact that I still had the cough and stuff when I flew to and from NYC that it didn't help my ears at all. I went to the pharmacy yesterday and they suggested that I try this stuff called Debrox and I am supposed to put dros in my ears 2 tims a day for 4 days so we will see what happens, I have done it 3 times so far. Ugg!

Cookie, I am only really coughing in the morning now and a little bit before bed, but it doens't wake me up anymore, thank god and hardly at all durring the day, FINALLY! It was the plane air that killed it getting better for me. I hope the plane air doesn't do that to our other friend that is coming here today!

Boobs said the same thing, I think I will be using my neti pot this evening! Anything at this point to pop these ears! :)

I too do not like plane air, I hope she took a dose of airborne before she got on that plane! I think it takes off in 15 min!

How I LOVE to log on and see the most recent post have my name in them!!!!!!!!!!! I do have my netti pot and have used it throughout the trip.

Bon Jour Mon Amis....in Paris again after a week in the Cotè dè Azure....this has been a great trip....

Flying home tomorrow, so I plan on getting caught up...I heard there was some drama while I was gone and some folks have left us...I am in the dark, but will deal with it tomorrow....

One final dinner in gay Paris.....(well, just final for this trip)

BTW...French Keyboards SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
