Evening all -- home safe and sound from France....
FOr those who may care...I ate pounds of butter, many loaves of bread and we lost count of the bottles of wine!
The apartment we had in Paris was so charming and "Parisian" -- GREAT location -- one the same block as the Picasso Museum in Marais district -- we walked and walked and explored the city -- it was great having the apartment versus the hotel room -- somewhere to come back and relax -- more space -- a kitchen for breakfast and stuff...got to be very friendly with the local boulngier (not sure I spelled that correctly -- but she was a darling bread-lady/maker). I just loved walking the streets with a big baguette in hand!
Of course many wonderful meals at great little restaurants -- had a pork tenderloin with a foi gras filling one night --it was HEAVEN!
We then went to Monaco for 5 days and did a bunch of day trips up into the hills-- some spectacular ancient villages that were beyond description -- no crowds/tourists at all. Strolled the beaches in Cannes and lunched in St. Tropez....
We got to Cassis on Monday and got Jeffery settled -- OH MY -- the "house" he is in for the next six months is great -- brand new -- nice view of the town and sea...very inspiring place for him to write some new music! It was hard to leave -- but I'll be back in February, March and April!
I am going to get my pictures onto the PC later and will get some up for viewing if anyone likes!

I've also heard how other people get around your washing machine
I'm SERIOUS -- imagine my surprise when I found it -- granted the French machine was no match for my German machine...BUT i did laundry each day -- Jeffery just laughed...but why not?????
