Posted: 12/10/04 at 12:42pmmatt...slapping a kid upside the head does not earn respect, it fosters anger and hurt. children need firm boundaries and strong expectations...there need to be consequences in place that are appropriate to the situation and model appropriate behaviors...

One little word of warning to you, LA - my little godson was the happiest, sunniest, most charming boy EVER until pretty much the stroke of midnight on his third birthday - now, Satan himself would have trouble keeping up with my Cameron!

Ugh, it's cold and rainy here..... I haaaaate this time of year!
Yeah, my brother was the same way, Rath... although I dont think he ever really outgrew that stage haha He's still pretty bad, and now he's bigger than I am!
