Alrighty, big sis stepping in with some good advice:

1) Ebonic - Kick your friend in the F*CKing face. And register for another account on a different username/IP address.

2) Ellie - Please tell me you're not asking out the gay guy. Hello, goodbye! Seriously, good way to ask a guy out to make it seem casual, just ask him to "catch a movie" - dont' say "go out" or anything. MAke it seem like you're going as friends and then let something transpire. As for how long you should wait btwn the breakup - is the ex gf a friend of yours? If not, then I think a month is appropriate. If so, then you shouldn't be asking him out at all!

"Any tips on good ways to ask guys out without looking pathetic if the answer's no? And what is an appropriate amount of time between him breaking up with his last g/f and me pouncing on him? Any suggestions much appreciated!"

Good tip: Stare at them until they say something to you!

No, it's not the gay guy!! Yuck, I despise the chap.

He broke up with his g/f only about two weeks ago...and no, she wasn't a friend per se, but I did/do know her in passing - she doesn't seem too upset about the break-up anyway. A month?? But what if he asks someone else out? Is two weeks sufficient? Say yes!

I'm sorry, Ebonic. You should try again with a new account. And skip that friend this time around, okay?

Well done, My Fair Lady!

So how do I make it not sudden. Drop a few hints, but like what?
Saunter up, sigh, and say 'I really wanna see Bridget Jones, but *sigh* I've *sniff* no one to go with...' Something like that? I've already seen BJ, but anyway, something along those lines?

'ponine, please do tell.. (if you want of course) it get's my mind of my crap week'

ok i was at play practice tonight and everything was going fine. We got up to 'Light My Candle' and my candle did not want to be blown out. I'm supposed to blow it out and sing 'it's out again', and when i went to blow it out it was still lit. So there is a pause and i tried to blow it out again. It was still lit!! So then i had no choice but to lick my finger and then put it out that way. I did that and then i laughed my way through 'It's finally out!....again.....sorry about your friend....etc.' Then once it was time for him to light my candle, it didn't want to be lit! I swear that this candle does not like me. So then the guy playing Roger kept making fun of me for the rest of that song. We were cracking up.
