thanks, it's a poetry essay - practice for the ap test, not something can really be helped w/, i know what i have to do, it's just a matter of actually doing it, we all have a different poem and mine's "living in sin" by rich. it's a pretty good poem but it's also 3 in the morning! *cries*

i haven't analyzed the poem closely yet but something along the lines of diction, syntax and maybe structure

the boards are so peaceful at this time when there are only a few threads going

we're not supposed to look online for any help, which i want to try not to do. i know they're very typical and boring but it's early and as long as i back it up well and all it will be fine. the idea is to show that all those things add to the meaning of the poem and its effect.

thanks for the help, i'm off to work. i'll let you know when i finish, although you should all be sleeping then! (oh god, i sound like my mom, but it's true - you realize how important sleep is when you don't get any)
