What kind of work do you do, if you don't mind my asking? Favorite shows?
Close, I manage a Dinner Theatre. I love it,just means my whole work week is mostly squished down into a few really long shifts.
Okay fave shows...lemme think...
Les Mis, LSOH, Miss Saigon, Baby, Into The Woods, Falsettos, Chess...still love the old classics too cause I grew up with them. I just discovered Wicked but I'm loving it so far.

Nifty. What do you do in a dinner theatre?
Love most of those too, at least the ones I've heard. We'll get along fine.

Woo! A live thread... this place is quiet tonight, eh?
I love dinner theatres, Falsettoland. SO much fun.
I'm going to my first dinner theatre next week!
Well, I do the more boring stuff, like hiring and training, publicity and marketing...day to day I also handle the box office and the staff assignments, help out in the bar, make the difficult customers happy, things like that. All while dressed up like a devil LOL
I also do the costume design for our shows. If you're interested, I'll PM you our website addy so you can take a peek.

What kind of shows are at dinner theatres? And Falsetto, I'd like to see the costumes.
Well ours is actually called a Theatre Restaurant. Our shows are all originals written inhouse. Nearly always a musical comedy. But others differ.
Oh and Insomniak? I'll PM you the addy, not a lot of pics but enough to get an idea.
ANGSTING. That's right, Emcee's b*tching.
I have two midterms Monday, one Tuesday and one Wednesday. I also have a big paper due on Tuesday. I just spent three hours in the library, and I've made perhaps if I'm lucky the TINIEST dent in my work. I missed a ton of work when I was sick, so while I study I have to make all of that up, which means trying to read, or at least skim about four books. I'm not going to live through next week. Nope, not at all.
You may now return to your conversation.

I wish I could help. BiTch away.
Thanks, Falsetto. I really don't understand how dinner theatre is done though, like... how does it work?
Ya poor thing, that's horrid.

Anything, BST.
Falsetto, nifty place! Kinda gothy/halloweenish?
Emcee, sorry. Wish I could help.
Uhm...I'm 20, a senior in college. Moving to NY in the summer/fall (not sure yet) for grad school/to pursue a career in theatre. I work at a bookstore. I love singing, eggplant, and shoes. I hate mayo, people I can't trust, and my roommate's boyfriend.
Tell me about yourself.

What kind of theatre career?
I'm sixteen, barely, and would love to move to New York. I love Green Day, Incubus, Quentin Tarantino movies, makeup, and books. (almost done with Le Mis) Um... I like to pick things apart- people, oreos and basically everything. I adore craft activities and anything artistic, tech work in theatre... hate hypocrites, punks, preps and everyone who has to label themselves to be comfortable.
Yup, gothish. It looks like this big ass castle from the outside and inside there's all these fake vampires and monsters and stuff. Pretty cool.
With the how's it work thing? Well, kinda like any other restaurant. They have dinner, and a bar, and then a live stage show and nightclub after. Only everyone's dressed up like Witches or whatever and we scare the hell out of you :) It's weird LOL
P.S. BST? Eggplant and shoes? YES!!
I'm an actress. The goal is to be successful enough in my theatre career that I can drop out of grad school.
And labels are for jars, not people
