My friend is really, really, realllly pissing me off. She has done nothing but yell and make fun of me on the phone, and she started screaming at me for bringing up this guuy. he had come up in our conversation twice and she had brought him up the first time. Finally I said, "Listen, if you don't stop yelling at me or making fun of me, I'm leaving, because quite frankly, you're pissing me off." She gives this giggle and says, "But YOU KEEP TALKING ABOUT HIM!" I said, "Okay. I'll see you later." and I hung up the phone. Now I know EXACTLY what she's doing. She whining to my other friend, who was on the phone with us at the time, and then she's going to call her other friend and talk about what a bitch I am. I hate getting in fights with my friends, and it happens rarely, so now I'm upset.

Well, thank you for asking, Monkeybaby. At the moment, I am quite content. I just recieved an email from a book reviewer at the Washington Post. What a pleasant surprise to come home and see that!

It's ok. PMS. And my skirt, which already had a high slit, ripped in the slit so the slit was at the tope of my thigh! I had to wear my coat to cover it.

::sigh:: My turn to angst...I'm not having the greatest day either. A good friend of mine named Dean has skin cancer, he's has a tumor removed from his brain already and just found out that there are 2 more that can't be removed. Since he knows he doesn't have much time left, he made a list of things he wants to do before he dies. One of the things is to be legally married to his partner, Ron. If I have to fly him accross the country myself I will! Which states can gays marry in? I've lost track...

NoDay, I'm sorry. I understand. My best friend's father has been dying of cancer for a year now. The doctor's have tried all sorts of different treatment, but it just won't work. They say he may last another year or two, but that it's just as likely he'll only another two weeks. It's been hard for everyone close to the family. I get teary just thinking about it.

I'm so sorry. I know how you feel. My friends father recently died of cancer, and I've had to coach her through some tough times. Just hang in there, honey. And treasure the moments you have together.

NoDay, it's always tough when a friend is suffering and there is nothing you can do. A few weeks ago a good friend of mine died of brain cancer after fighting for three years. She had a full and complete life and never gave up hope. Tell your friend to keep the faith and anything can happen. I wish you and Dean and his family the greatest luck!

I am sincerly sorry about that, lovett, noday and Delphie. I wish I could say something to help... but it does make me realize that my own life could be worse. (though it doesn't help my problems, petty or not)

Thanks, insomniak. I just don't know what I'm going to do when he actually does die. I can't even begin to imagine the pain my friend must be going through now, and what it will be when it happens. I just know I have to be there to support her, which I have been doing so far the best I can.
