Posted: 10/27/04 at 6:59pmJust got home from ballet and I HATE new pointe shoes. My feet are in soooo much pain. GRRRRR! Oh well. Everyone ready for the eclipse tonight? It should be really beautiful. I'm taking astronomy, so I have to observe it and take notes, but anyone who's interested should look up tonight. OR, if you can't pull yourself away there are sites online that broadcast it too.

Posted: 10/27/04 at 8:05pmwell it's a bunch of solos and I have one of them soooooo kind of. I don't plan on being a prima ballerina, it's not my life so I don't really care all that much what part I have. it's still fun.

I'm here! Someone talk to me a purge the homework from my poor brain. I reread half of the Crucible and spent two hours reviewing for my quarter history exam.
It sucked, let's make up for it now. Tell me about your day.

Posted: 10/27/04 at 10:01pmAK! I can help you on The Crucible! I've studied it, and acted in my high school production! (I played Tituba ~ I'm probably the only Chinese girl who can play a Barbados slave and do it justice!)

Nifty! I really like the play. Do you have any advice on how to keep Danforth and all the old guys straight? I get them all mixed up...
Highschoolers should be banned from reading aloud in class. The motony just about murdered me. Even in honors it's bad.

Posted: 10/27/04 at 10:06pmTituba?!?! Our high school once came to our school and did the first act of Crucible, and she was my FAVORITE character. That's AWESOME.

Ak - Draw a chart, like a family tree, but more comprehensive. It helps a LOT. Like "so-and-so...Proctor's niece..." etc. but include, like, friends, maids, etc.
Slaton - It was good fun. Everyone called me Tits for short, and then my name went from Tituba/Tiffany to "Tits-and-fanny". Good times.
It's a great play if people understand the context in which it was written in, otherwise it just seems like a bunch of crazy people screaming about witches.

I really liked the movie too.
I might draw a chart if I can muster up the motivation... blah.
Most people don't care about the context, they just are blah.

Posted: 10/27/04 at 10:25pmContext is REALLY important for this book. What topics do you have to cover? (If you like this stuff, you'll LOVE HL English for IB!)
