Meh, I can't believe you still love in Canada...

That's because I can love in Canada. Here, I can actually love another man openly, and live with the comforting knowledge that my rights are protected. The different levels of government aren't racing to see who can take away my rights the fastest. I can even marry another man if I so choose. Now that's freedom, that's liberty. Liberty in Canada isn't some rhetorical catchphrase thrown around to start pre-emptive wars in foreign countries that aren't a threat, while religious extremists slowly take over the nation and turn it into Jesusland.

I've never been more grateful and proud to be Canadian than I am in this dark age. Everyone is proud of their own country, but I have very good reasons to be.
