If I were waking up boiling hot, it might. And the water is literally about 40 degrees. I am doing the fire hydrant run through.

No idea, Millie (and thanks, Boobs, I knew you were a considerate guy that way!).
Our entire building got together and got our legal duckies in a row. They're sending the landlords a list of grievances and the company has 10 days to comply and continue to meet these simple standards. If they don't, rent is withheld each month. And we're within our rights to do so as a collective group.

Oh yes. We will often go one day without hot water...our radiators are hot water as well, and, over Christmas, I went four days with no heat, no hot water. Calls to the super and landlord were never returned.
I no longer bother calling them, I just file a complaint each time with the city line, 311.
