Candlewood Playhouse?

Worked there many moons ago. Just wondering what happened to it, I can't find anything online. Caught wind of a rumor that it's now a Stop and Shop strip mall? If it went under, it doesn't surprise me, but I'm just wondering if it was torn down and when.

I live in the next town over and, sadly, it closed about 1999 or so. The theater sat empty for five or six years and then was torn down to make way for a Shaw's Supermarket and a shopping plaza. The Shaw's was built and closed pretty quickly after it opened. It was bought out by Stop & Shop which is currently there. Its so sad when I drive by there. I never worked there, but had season tickets and saw almost everything.It was great to have such a wonderful theater in our community.

Oh my God...blast from the past. Lived in Danbury from 1976-82 but never made it there.

Just hearing the name sparks a flashback though. And sorry to hear about its demise.
