So this tourist trap of a place that charges $30 for a sandwich has been closed down for stealing gas? Didn't even realize it was still open. Still.... I feel nostalgia towards the place since it was part of my childhood. Whenever we went to the city for a show we would have lunch here.

Well it seems pretty clear what happened. They were stealing the gas and got caught.

After the recent explosion in the East Village causing two deaths, I can see why the authorities are cracking down. IF the were in fact tampering and stealing gas, they should in deed be closed down!
