Hey I am new here. We are doing this show at my school this year and I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with a character breakdown of the show and maybe the voice parts of the characters.

my school did this show when I was in grade nine....it was, um, intersting....thats a good word for it. Here're the character descriptions from back then, they're sorta vague. I remember the show pretty well since I ushered for all the performances so if you want elaboration on any of the characters or story or whatever then just ask.

LILI
innocent, orphan

PAUL
young puppeteer, embittered by injury to leg
(must be able to work, and provide voices for, 2 puppets)

MARCO THE MAGNIFICENT
suave, gallant, seductive magician

ROSALIE
brash,assistant to Marco - in love with him

JACQUOT
puppteer in Paul's act
older, wise, kind
(must be able to work, and do voices for) 2 puppets)

SCHLEIGAL
loud, energetic, determined
owns and runs the carnival

DR. GLASS
Rosalie's "fiance"

PRINCESS OLGA
the snake charmer

NOTE
As the action takes place in a carnival (travelling circus) there is a need
for jugglers, tumblers and any other performer appropriate to that setting.
