Carole (King) or Carly (Simon) ?
Carole King
Glebb, I swear on Madonna's name I was going to post this EXACT same question this afternoon, but I got busy!
Carole King
For me it will always be Carly...Boys in the Trees - fantastic.
I love them both dearly. Throw in a healthy dose of Joni and a little Janice and I'm there.
I loves 'em both, but Carly is m'girl.

And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down...
Truth be told, I have more Joni CDs.
They are amazing. Remember the episode of SIX FEET UNDER that ended with Joni's WOODSTOCK?
We go round and round and round in the CIRCLE GAME.
Ok, the answer to this one is real difficult. Which is your favorite Joni CD? Court and Spark, Blue, Ladies of the Canyon, For The Roses, Clouds?

Ask James Taylor - he had 'em both!
Carole is a genius songwriter, but Carly is so damn sexy. Remember the "No Secrets" album cover? It was "no secret" that she wasn't wearing a bra and the weather was cold!

Yeah, my dad liked that cover.
CARLY!
I love the 'minor' Carly -- the ones that didn't sell so well. Anyone here like her COME UPSTAIRS album? The one that has "Jesse" on it (the only hit), and her faster, new wave ('80) arrangements? (The feminist rant, "What Should We Do about Them?" is catchy, even today...with the techno trappings.) I will always love "Take Me As I Am" more than anything written in the 80s. If any of you older farts remember the album, speak up. We're lucky it's on CD.
Oh, definitely Carole King. LOVE her.
(Clicked on this thinking, "Why is there a thread about Carole Shelley and Carly Jibson?")
Love them both.
It's sort of like the Faberge Egg. The surprise is inside.
